Jumper Athletics Invite 2026

Saturday, January 10, 2026 @ Central College, Pella, IA

Meet Preview

The idea of holding an indoor track & field meet for middle and high school athletes was born 3-years ago.  A major driving force of Jumper Athletics is to assist in raising the quality of track & field in Iowa.  We strive for Iowa HS athletes to have opportunities to develop and reach the next-level performance-wise and to experience big-time track & field levels.

When looking at competitive indoor opportunities in Iowa, there were very few opportunities over the winter compared to other midwestern states to allow pre-season prep.  Therefore, it started in 2024 with a Jumps Fest and then in 2025 a Jumps Fest as well as Track Fest was held.  This year, 2026, Central College, in Pella, IA has allowed for the indoor track to be rented for a full day and we are able to hold a track & field meet.  Jumper Athletics appreciates the partnership with Central College and allowing the organization to hold competitions at their indoor facility.

The first two years had some athletes who ended up winning state titles and are now competing in college athletics.  Some of those notable athletes were Reese Brownlee (Clear Lake), Maia Denge-Hagen (Linn-Marr), and Reagan Hanfelt (Ankeny).  Last year there were 68 athletes who participated in one of those competitions.

This year is going to be a bigger meet with over 100 athletes participating (including some out of state athletes).  Forty-five different Iowa communities will be represented in this year’s meet. There will be some athletes participating who had some major achievements in the 2025 spring and summer season and look to jump start this season with the Jumper Athletics Invite.
